Some of the basic principles of life coaching are:

Subjectivity – We all have different perspectives (or beliefs) of the world – no one perspective is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’, but some beliefs are called “limiting beliefs” and can stop you from becoming who you want to be. Coaching can assist you identify these limiting beliefs and choose different beliefs.

Empowerment – Coaching acts as a catalyst for you to find your personal power. Only you have the power to choose in any given moment who you want to be, what you want to believe and how you want to shift your life. Power lives in the reality that the events in our lives don’t control our lives, our decisions do!

Guidance – There is a difference between and instructor and a guide. An instructor shows you exactly what to do, whereas a guide provides the tools and support you need to do something for yourself. A Life Coach is a guide, not an instructor.
